Advocating For Culture In A Sea Without Sky

This paper seeks to answer how art and design can shape the moral or ethical evolution of culture. Using the sociological theory of Harvard sociologist Sorokin Pitirim, it explors big questions like: “How can design improve what culture values?”

The Rules of Play: On Human Identity and Social Structures

Published in Arte Por Excelencias, No. 9, 2011, this article was written for internationally recognized public artist, Alexandre Arrechea, and covered the cultural significance of his artwork shown in the exhibit entitled, The Rules of Play.
